The Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) stands as a collaborative entity established by the Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the Republic of Rwanda, the United Republic of Tanzania, and the Republic of Uganda. It represents an integrated, multimodal transport and logistics network that serves as a crucial link between the Member States and the sea via the port of Dar es Salaam. The agency operates within the framework of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agreement, signed on September 2, 2006, governing cooperation among the Member States for the development of the Central Corridor.
the Stakeholders Consultative Committee (STACON), and the Permanent Secretariat, which was established in July 2010 with its headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The overarching vision is to establish the Central Corridor as the preeminent and sustainable trade route, CCTTFA fulfills its mandate through several key institutions, including the Interstate Council of Ministers (ICM), the Executive Board,while the mission focuses on facilitating the development of comprehensive transportation and trade networks along the corridor. Specific goals include promoting the use of Central Corridor Transport and Trade Facilities, ensuring the granting of transit rights among Member States, and taking measures to expedite the movement of goods while minimizing transit delays across respective territories.
