Tanzania Police Force Seeks Qualified Candidates for October 2023 Interviews

The Tanzania Police Force (TPF), a pivotal institution in ensuring public safety and security throughout Tanzania, is announcing its call for interviews in October 2023. Originally established in 1919 during the colonial era, the TPF has evolved to become a crucial component of the country's law enforcement apparatus. Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the force operates with a multi-faceted approach, housing specialized units such as the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Traffic Police, and Marine Police.


Over the years, the TPF has played a significant role in tackling various challenges, including organized crime, drug trafficking, and wildlife poaching. Additionally, the force has been instrumental in maintaining security during pivotal events, including elections. Emphasizing professionalism, the TPF has implemented comprehensive training programs focusing on human rights and community policing. Notwithstanding its efforts, the force is actively combating incidents of corruption and misconduct, demonstrating a commitment to accountability and transparency.


The Commissioner General, at the helm of the TPF, collaborates with regional and district police commanders to effectively address local concerns.
