Job Summary:


As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive the growth of Loans and Advances, Deposits, and alternative products at the branch level. This includes managing all sales activities, supporting, monitoring, and training Branch Sales Officers across respective branches.


Job Description:


A. Business Soliciting – Acquisition/Recruitment


1. Customer acquisition/recruitment:

   - Regularly visit existing customers.

   - Ensure optimal functionality of all customer acquisition points.

   - Enhance overall customer experience.


2. Business growth:

   - Identify and target relevant sectors for business growth in the locality.

   - Solicit, KYC, and review potential customers, encouraging them to open accounts.

   - Collaborate with Business Development Partners to develop products tailored to specific localities.

   - Provide consistent feedback on product and service performance to the Head of Customer Network.

   - Engage with Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and Business Banking (BB) departments to explore retail opportunities.

   - Address customer queries related to business matters.


B. Deposit Mobilization


1. Proactively understand local business dynamics to capitalize on deposit growth opportunities.

2. Supervise deposit mobilization campaigns in branches.

3. Actively solicit deposits from all clients to meet the Bank’s deposit targets.

4. Follow the branch activity calendar for proactive engagement.


C. Cross Selling


1. Cross-sell all bank products, including Mobile Phone Banking, Internet Banking, Agent Banking products, Insurance Products, Deposit Products, Loan products, FX, Transfer, etc.

2. Collect market intelligence on local competition, products, and service levels.


D. Relationship Management


1. Drive customer engagement activities in branches.

2. Interact with the Bank’s clients to build confidence and create customer loyalty.

3. Identify potential clients through informative meetings and product discussions.

4. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with segmented customers.

5. Manage customer business contacts, participate in corporate customer social occasions, and oversee all customer interactions.


E. Reports, Monitoring & Turnaround


1. Maintain a database of High Net Worth customers in the branch.

2. Monitor branch business growth through KPIs.

3. Manage loan turnaround time and support recovery efforts.

4. Provide reports and inputs to Stressed Asset Management Units.


F. Coaching and Mentoring


1. Coach and mentor the branch Sales team regularly.

2. Monitor and report performance based on agreed KPIs.


Other Duties:


- Participate in branch budgeting for all sales-related activities.

- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

- Prepare various reports and business proposals for management approval.


Education and Experience Required:


- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

- 3 years of banking experience.

- Broad knowledge of banking practices, product knowledge, and bank regulations.

- Awareness of BOT regulations.
