Job Description:

We are seeking a Retail Operation Executive to join our team at Vodacom Tanzania. Reporting to the Manager - Retail Operations, the role involves collaborating with franchise operators across all zones to achieve the following objectives:

1. Maximize sales revenues, with a focus on data sales.

2. Ensure an optimal customer experience.

3. Increase awareness of Vodacom products, services, and promotions among walk-in customers.

4. Bring in new high-quality connections to the Vodacom network.

5. Maintain strong business relationships with retail partners.

Key Responsibilities and Decision Ownership:

- Communicate and execute targets effectively, ensuring the achievement of company sales and revenue targets in franchised shops within the assigned zone.

- Clearly communicate targets and commission changes to franchise operators.

- Manage stock levels in franchised and flagship shops, ensuring continuous availability of M-Pesa float.

- Drive sales revenue, data, and voice usage activities.

- Monitor retail sales trends, competitor activities, and recommend strategies for retail road map formulation.

- Address shortfalls by identifying causes and implementing remedial actions, including coaching franchisee operators and shop staff.

- Conduct training for franchisee operators and their staff on Vodacom products, services, and key skills to enhance customer experience.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience:

- Good knowledge of Vodacom’s products/services and pricing practices.

- Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

- Stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent planning and communication skills, both oral and written.

- Service orientation and customer-centric mindset.

Professional Qualifications:

- Relevant Marketing/Business Administration degree.

- At least 2 years of experience in a sales environment.

- High level of integrity and work ethics.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Ensure implementation, maintenance, and execution of franchisee operating standards across all zones.

- Conduct systems checks, stock audits, training audits, and reconciliations on time.

- Oversee the processing of shop branding before launch and ensure maintenance and audit of a standard look and feel inside and outside each shop.

- Maintain documentation files for each shop, including franchise contracts, confidentiality documents, lease agreements, commissions, SLAs, etc.

- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales trends and performance of all shops in all zones.
