Key Role Overview:

As a Brewing Operator at AB InBev in Dar es Salaam, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe operation of specific processes within the Brewing plant. This includes executing maintenance tasks, conducting quality control checks and analyses, and coaching fellow team members to consistently produce a high-quality product at optimal cost.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Optimize Plant & Process Performance as appropriate

2. Operate the Brew house Plant and Process

3. Operate Beverage Fermentation Plant and Process

4. Operate Beverage Filtration Plant and Process

5. Operate the Packaging (kegging and bottling) Plant and Process

6. Perform housekeeping tasks, applying 5s principles and following safe work practices

7. Identify and correct unsafe work practices

8. Support the creation and documentation of standard work procedures

9. Conduct quality checks and analyses, recording results in the information system

10. Apply problem-solving techniques for quality problems and escalate unresolved issues

11. Actively participate in meetings, goal reviews, and utilize the gap list for improvement opportunities

12. Fully understand team goals and participate in goal review sessions

13. Use communication media (e.g., shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues

14. Complete handovers to incoming shift team members, addressing plant performance and quality issues

15. Perform autonomous maintenance tasks and problem-solving activities

16. Respond rapidly to triggers that could lead to out-of-control process situations

17. Develop skills and mentor other Brewery Technicians

18. Be a logical, analytical problem solver in an unstructured environment

19. Be a team player, demonstrating effective communication, listening, and assistance

20. Demonstrate initiative, energy, and an achievement drive to improve and surpass standards


Profile:

  • Diploma in Food Science, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Basic PC Literacy (Microsoft/SAP)
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work shifts
