Role Description:


We are seeking a full-time, on-site Contents Manager based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role involves overseeing all aspects of program content, encompassing TV, radio, and digital platforms. The Contents Manager will be responsible for researching, selecting, and supervising content that goes on air. Additionally, they will ensure that programs adhere to company policies, effectively convey the company's message, and maintain high production standards. The role also involves creating and approving program concepts, cultivating relationships with stakeholders and partners, and monitoring audience feedback to enhance engagement and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in content creation, creativity, and innovation, while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and values.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise messaging.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Experience in managing teams, overseeing content management, and distributions.
  • Thorough knowledge of media industry trends, audience demographics, and programming.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Media, content development, production, or management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, building and overseeing high-performing teams.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard scheduling and content management software.
  • Thorough knowledge of television, digital, and radio broadcast standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with the East African media landscape, audience preferences, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Experience in developing and producing content in both English and Swahili languages.
