Litigation Manager Position at HR World Limited 2024
We are currently seeking a Litigation Manager for our esteemed client in the banking industry. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing legal matters, commercial contracts, and agreements. Join our dynamic team and make a significant impact in the following areas:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Board Presentation papers regarding legal and credit matters.
- Draft Board/Annual General Meeting Minutes and related minutes pertaining to legal and credit affairs.
- Represent the Company Secretary in Management Credit Committees.
- Oversee the security perfection and drafting process managed by external lawyers.
- Serve as the Disciplinary Committee Secretary for the Bank.
- Review and supervise the disciplinary process, from the preparation of investigation reports to final resolution.
- Advise the Corporate Department on security perfection activities.
- Guide Management on Litigation Matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws such as the Civil & Criminal Procedure Acts, Companies Act, Bank of Tanzania Act, Banking and Financial Institution Act, Employments and Labour Relations Act, and other Legislation.
- Initiate, participate, and provide legal advice in negotiations leading to Out-Of-Court Settlements.
- Provide Legal Advice on NPL Recoveries and handle matters related to litigation filed for and against the Bank.
- Collect and organize evidence required for effective litigation in all cases involving the Bank.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law and an Advocate of the high court.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Telecom/Banking.
