Johari Rotana, a contemporary property with elegant design and exceptional facilities situated in the Central Business District of Dar es Salaam, is currently seeking dynamic and self-motivated Food and Beverage professionals to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Hostess, you will play a crucial role in providing a warm and efficient welcome to our Guests. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Welcoming Guests to the assigned outlet, escorting them to tables, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Handling outlet reservations, managing the reservation book, and answering telephone inquiries with impeccable service.
- Setting up the outlet before business hours in collaboration with the service team.
- Coordinating with the service team to make necessary arrangements according to the floor plan for reservations or blocked-off tables.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the outlet and entrance area.
- Ensuring the well-being of all Guests through close, friendly, and discreet contact.
- Familiarity with menus and ongoing promotions to make recommendations when requested.
- Contributing to the establishment of the outlet's database.
- Ensuring Guest satisfaction upon their departure.
- Operating in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Education, Qualifications & Experiences:
Ideal candidates should possess a degree in hospitality with prior experience in the Food and Beverage Department of a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential, along with knowledge in an additional language. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, computer literacy, and previous experience with Opera are advantageous.
