Role Overview:

Position: Heads of Sales Operations

Location: Dar es Salaam

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Strategy Support:

  •    Ensure accuracy in forecasting models and correlation analysis reports for volume trends.
  •    Monitor emerging trends, recommending breakthrough strategies to enhance sales execution.
  •    Deliver superior operational support within budget constraints.
  •    Coordinate sales projects, ensuring desired results are achieved.
  •    Drive the implementation of strategies to achieve significant distribution gains and beat competition.

2. Sales Data Management:

  •    Work closely with the field sales team to provide efficient reporting and dashboard management.
  •    Ensure availability of accurate sales reports for effective decision-making.
  •    Compute volume targets based on trends and insights.
  •    Communicate sales targets and achievements to key stakeholders.
  •    Manage all sales tools, ensuring effective utilization.

3. Sales Administration:

  •    Support initiatives related to innovation execution.
  •    Oversee the management of Sales Offices and Information Systems solutions.
  •    Lead annual sales target planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  •    Manage administrative processes, including staff database, logistics, and fleet utilization.
  •    Lead and manage communication of sales initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications:
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.


  •   Minimum of 7 years in Sales or relevant FMCG industry experience.
  •   At least 5 years of managerial experience in field sales, preferably in the beverage industry.
  •   Significant portfolio and category knowledge applied to customer and consumer service.
  •   Ability to recognize and ensure support for business-critical activities.
  •   Translate business objectives into compelling commercial arguments for customers and consumers.
  •   Excellent P&L literacy.
